According to a study conducted by Vincentric, a select number of Volkswagen models have a lower cost of maintenance than key competitors in the same category like Honda and Toyota. In the study, costs of maintenance based on a comparison of recommended maintenance services over a 5 year period and replacement costs of wear items were considered. The study was completed for midsize SUV, compact SUV, midsize sedan, and compact sedan segments and Volkswagen performed very well in all, see below to find out how we did.
